Product Details
This hat is knitted in the round from bottom up and the top of the hat is closed with Kitchener stitch. Detailed instructions for Kitchener stitch are included in the pattern, it’s really easy technique once you learn it (if you haven’t already)!
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: The hat is very stretchy. The smaller hat fits a large variety of sizes, from approximately 5 year old to adult small. The larger hat fits a medium to large adult.
YARN: Madelinetosh Tosh DK (225 yds / 206 m per one skein; 100 % superwash merino wool). If you'd like to substitute yarn, you'll need approximately 160 (180) yds / 146 (165) m of DK- weight yarn.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS: Size 6 US / 4 mm circular needle: for child hat: 16” / 40 cm long, for adult hat: 24” / 60 cm long, a set of size 6 US / 4 mm double pointed needles, cable needle, stitch markers, row counter, tapestry needle.
GAUGE: 22 sts and 30 rounds in Stockinette stitch = 4" / 10 cm
