Product Details
This 8ply/DK Beret style Beanie is worked in an easy block stitch and can be worn several ways. Wear it as a Beret, a slouchy Beanie or turn up the brim to create a firmer fit Beanie. It is worked in the round, so no sewing up required. If you prefer a seamed version, see my Audrey pattern.
Pattern sizes: Age 2-5 yrs, 6-10 yrs, Teen and Lady.
To fit head: 52 (54-55-56) cm [20½ (21¼-21¾-22) ins].
Yarn required: 1 (1-1-1) ball Creative Basics Esther 8ply, 100g balls@220m.
Needles required: A set of 3.25mm [UK 10, US 4] double-pointed knitting needles ***OR***A 3.25mm [UK 10, US 4] circular knitting needle, 40cm long.
A set of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] double-pointed knitting needles.
A 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] circular knitting needle, 40cm long – optional.
Wool needle for sewing in ends.
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.
