Product Details
This is a pattern for an intricate brioche and cabled cowl. The finished cowl measures 13 1/2 inches X 62 inches The cowl can be worn long or doubled as seen in some of the pictures. It can drape over your shoulders in a way that won’t fall off. Or it can be doubled for extra warmth in the winter or early spring. However, you may have a favorite way to wear cowls that’s different from mine. The combination of the brioche stitch with the brioche cable makes a striking combination.
Brioche knitting tends to be fluffier than regular knitting, so have both a visual and tactile that is not often found in knitting. Brioche knitting originated in the Middle East.
The brioche stitches are charted only, using brioche symbols.
Skill Level: Intermediate (if you have some brioche experience)
The yarn used in the sample is made with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sportmate yarn, howeer any sportweight yarn will work for this pattern
