Product Details
The Jaume hat and neckwarmer are a quick and fun knit with a manly feel. The rib stitch does not pull in as much as normal ribbing, but is very easy to complete and has an added benefit of being completely reversible. The hat has this rib for an extra long section, allowing for a generous cuff or foldover section, and then a short stockinette crown. The neckwarmer is first knit in the round using the Jaume rib, then switches to a flat knit section with a small placket. The neckwarmer can thus be worn folded over like a collar or unfolded to cover the ears but not smother the chin and mouth. The yarn used in the example is a super-warm and fluffy New Zealand possum/Merino wool fingering weight yarn that is held doubled, but could also be done in a DK or worsted wool.
