Knitting with super bulky yarn is fast. It also can get boring fast, as it rarely lends itself to more exciting stitch patterns. Here is a break from usual garter and stockinette. This design, while remaining simple even for beginners, introduces a cabled brim with a buttonhole and seven pointed star of decreases on the crown. Skill level: beginner to intermediate Finished dimensions: sized for women (head circumference about 22 inches). Yarn: super bulky weight yarn (about 5 oz). I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick&Quick Needles: double point needles and 16" circular needle size 10mm/US 15 or size to obtain gauge. Other materials: tapestry needle, 2 (1 1/8") buttons Gauge: 10 st and 12 rows = 4" (stockinette stitch) To save time , please check your gauge.
