Product Details
Karakri is a garter stitch shawl knitted first top down and then sideways. One part of the edge is embellished with beads.
Yarn:
2 skeins of any fingering weight yarn 400 m/ 437 yds per 100 g, one in colour A and one in colour B.
Beads:
31 pcs of size 0/6 or 0/8 seed beads. I used Matsuno 0/6 seed beads in colour Ceylon Pastel Grey.
Needles etc:
3.75 mm (US 5) circular needle 100 cm (40”) or longer. Tapestry needle for weaving in ends. A small crochet hook or floss for placing the beads. Five stitch markers.
Gauge:
21 st x 44 rows (22 garter ridges) = 10 x 10 cm/ 4 x 4” in garter stitch after blocking.
