Christmas decorations are such fun to create! And snowflakes to decorate your Christmas tree are almost addictive - once you start, you can’t stop! What’s more, there are always so many friends and relatives who are overjoyed when they find a snowflake slipped into a Christmas card.
Most of hand-made snowflakes are crocheted ones. As I’m a poor crocheteer, I ventured to design some snowflakes for knitters.
The pattern contains 4 different types of snowflakes, each in two or three sizes.
The snowflakes will work with any yarn, you can use crochet cotton or any knitting yarn. I personally prefer creating delicate lacy ones with laceweight or light fingering. Plus, you can use any leftover yarn like silk and alpaca blends that are too precious to throw away yet you do not have enough to make another shawl.
Kerstki are knitted in the round on DPNs and started at the outer edge with knitted cast on.
