King’s Cross Shawlette – a little bit of intarsia, a little bit of lace … and a whole lot of GORGEOUS!
Knit using a lovely pairing of tonal and multi hand-dyed fingering-weight superwash wool.
The shawlette starts out with a garter tab that then grows into an off-kilter striping and then, just as you get a bit tired of the intarsia striping, starts garter stitches and then a bit of garter ripple lace. A “gusset” of lace, that falls on each shoulder, is topped off with garter stitch in the multi.
Blocking allows the edge to ripple and pops the lace portion nicely and gives you a shawlette that is approx 37 inches by 16.25 inches.
Directions are charted and line-by-line for this fun knit that requires approx. 280 yards (60g) Tonal MC and 200 yards (40g)
