Product Details
I knew the minute that I saw Andrea Rangel’s colourwork stitch dictionary, I would have to design a pair of socks with some of her kitty motifs and this is the first (Don’t worry, the book includes permission for the motifs to go into patterns). I just love kitties and these socks remind me of my two tom cats, Jim and Norman, who are always snuggling one another.
The sock pattern is knit from the cuff down using a standard heel flap construction. The chart is stranded colourwork and care should be taken on long floats to twist the yarn half way through.
What shoe sizes can be knit?
The pattern can be knit to any shoe size! Instructions are included in the pattern to tell you how long to knit before starting the toes, depending on the length you want the foot to be so it’s completely customisable. Just remember, the longer the sock, the more yarn you will need. When knitting a 4ply/fingerweight sock, you should be able to get up to a UK Size 10 from 100g (400m to 425m per 100g).
