This pattern uses worsted weight yarn knit at a tighter gauge than normal to get a firm fabric: 22 sts over 4" in stocking stitch. It is important to get an accurate gauge in order for the glove to fit your hand. Change needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
This project is worked in the round using double pointed needles.
For the one color gloves you will need approximately 75m. For the two color gloves you will need approx. 15m/16yd for the cuffs and approx. 60m/65yd for the rest of the gloves.
Any worsted weight wool or wool blend will work well with this pattern. This pattern uses a tighter gauge than normal for this weight yarn. The ball band should indicate 16-18 sts to 4".
