Product Details

One skein of wool yarn is all you need to knit the teacup, handle and saucer. They are first knitted in the round on size US 10 1/2 double-pointed needles for the larger teacup and saucer, then felted in your washing machine. The burgundy teacups and saucers were knit with Knit Picks Wool of the Andes bulky and then embroidered with Knit Picks Palette fingering-weight yarn. Check out my Knitted/Felted Teapot, too! Knit up a set for a real tea party! The smaller (pink) teacup was knit with size US 8 needles in Debbie Bliss Aran Tweed. If you'd like to use worsted weight wool, like Cascade 220 or Patons Classic Wool, knit with two strands held together on your size US 10.5 double-pointed needles. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me.
