Product Details

The Kruunajaiset (coronation in English) Socks are knitted from cuff down and the pattern is written for the Magic Loop technique, but it is also suitable for knitting with double pointed needles. The heel is worked with a heel flap and gusset with instructions for a reinforced heel flap.

MATERIALS

Yarns: approx. 65 (85) 105 m / 75 (95) 115 yd for color A and approx. 190 (240) 300 m / 210 (265) 330 yd for color B of fingering weight sock yarn

Color A shown in nurja merino sock (75% superwash merinowool, 25% polyamide; 420 m 459 yd per 100 g) in colorway meripihka.

Color B shown in Regia 4-ply Tweed (70% wool, 25% polyamide, 5% viscose; 400 m 437 yd / 100 g) in colorway 2.

Needles: 2,5 mm (US 1,5), 80 cm (30”) circular needles, or needle to obtain gauge

Other: tapestry needle, measuring tape, cable needle

GAUGE 32 stitches and 42 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round
