Product Details
As a triathlete who didn’t really swim before the ripe old age of 28, I spend a great deal of my training time face down in a swimming pool attempting to become one with the water. I found myself hypnotized by the play of sunlight on the tiles on the bottom of the pool, and was inspired to recreate those shimmering swirls in a pair of socks. These socks are knit from the toe-up with a simple knit-purl tile design, allowing the beauty of the semi-solid yarn to shine. A two color ribbed cuff and picot bind-off finish off the leg. Pattern includes two charts. Sample shown was worked in Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock Lightweight.
Skills needed: provisional casting on, knitting in the round, purling, picot binding off. Gauge: 36 sts/52 rows over 4 in/10 cm in stockinette.
