Product Details
This pattern is knit bottom-up. The only seams are under the arms and stitching the ruffle ends together Bottom ruffle is worked as you knit. Sleeve and neck ruffles are worked separately, then joined to main fabric by working sts together from ruffle and sleeve or neck. Raglan decreases are worked on WS rows.
I originally knit this pattern in fingering yarn. I knit a second sample using a sport weight yarn (Wendy Peter Pan). I had to adjust the needle size to get the same gauge, and the second sweater is slightly thicker, but otherwise, the substitution worked well for the pattern.
Skills Required: Basic sts and knit and purl decreases, yarnovers (yo), picking up sts, short rows (w&t), grafting/Kitchener St
