Energetic, colorful, warm. The red sections flowing around this cowl reminds me of a volcanic eruption.
Worked in the round on circular needles, this cowl features a short rows construction that it is not only decorative, but also serves as the necessary increase to form a hood from the body of the cowl.
Comfy and useful: it can be worn as a simple cowl with a very very “soft” look because of the extra ease given by the hood, or - if the weather is cool - you can easily slide up the back part to protect your head.
Lavic can be also used as a slouchy beret, just threading a strand through the fabric and gathering the top of it.
Lavic is a great stash buster project, as it uses 5 colours of bulky yarn, in ridiculous quantities. You will need less than a skein for the MC, less than half a skein for the “second MC”, while needed amounts for CCs count as few yards each.
