Updated pattern with a new recipe!
In Cricket, the term LBW (Leg Before Wicket) is the basis of the law that, following an appeal by the fielding side, an Umpire may rule a batsman out if he believes the ball would have struck the wicket had it not been obstructed by any part of the batsman's body except the hand holding the bat.
Following a Cricket theme, this heavy duty sock, in DK weight yarn, features a cable and rib patterning with contrast colour stripes and contrast colour heels and toes. The socks are worked from the cuff-down. Both toe and afterthought heelheel are worked in a contrast colour, then grafted using Kitchener stitch.
Fitting Length (all sizes): Leg length (including cuff): 7” (18 cm). To fit foot length up to 10” (25.5 cm) approx. - equivalent to shoe size: US 10 / UK 8 / EU 42.Ease: -1” (-2.5cm).
Note: Please keep an extra skein of MC yarn handy if you choose to lengthen your sock.
