Product Details

Colorful leaves in various sizes embellish a nubby-textured scarf worked in three earthy tones of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter. The leaves are knit in four colors of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Tweed and arranged and sewn on to one side of the scarf using a simple, modified whip stitch. The back of the scarf is plain; pattern stitch is reversible.

The three colors of the scarf are worked one at a time, one color per row with the color(s) not in use carried up the side of the scarf. The pattern explains exactly how to do this.

Directions are given for leaves in four different sizes -- arrange them in your own unique pattern on one side of the scarf.

A wide range of yarns (worsted, light worsted, or DK) can be used, although a tweed is recommended. The gauge for the scarf as shown is 34 sts = approximately 7". However, gauge is not critical and may be adjusted for the yarn used as long as an even number of stitches are cast on.
