Product Details
Reminiscent of sparkling ice on leaves, this shawl will add sparkle and grace to your winter wardrobe. This full-circle, poncho-style shawl is knit in the round and measures a full 36 inches from tip to tip (with an 8-inch diameter neck opening).
Directions are both charted and round by round.
The shawl uses approx. 360 yards of fingering-weight yarn (sample used 75% of one skein of the Fame Trend Paljett).
Shawl is knit in the round from neck to hem (so, minimal finishing!)
Starting with a smaller needle and rib, the shawl quickly increases on the larger needles, creating every-growing leaves until the final, garter-stitch BO
You will work create 60 leaves – 30 will increase while the alternating 30 decrease. I have given a chart and round-by-round, but it’s easiest (and fastest) if you learn to “read” your knitting and see what you need to do next, referring only occasionally to the chart/rnd-by-rnd directions
