Product Details

The beautiful and fragrant tea tree is one of the native flora that Australia and New Zealand share. I simply love these flowers. I love that during Spring tea trees provide beautiful colour in my garden that attracts bees, birds and butterflies.

I love tea trees so much that there's even a tea tree flower in my logo.

I had so much fun designing the flora for the WARM project that I couldn't stop at just those, so I came up with this sweet flower.

Construction:

This wee tea tree is knit using double pointed needles. It begins with the receptacle and works outwards to complete each of the petals individually and seamlessly. The stem is created using i-cord which can be thread onto wire to provide greater structure.

Techniques used:

Knit and purl, cast on

Increasing and decreasing

Modified cast off

Working small circumference in the round on DPNs

i-cord
