Product Details
The Liana Socks feature an offset vining cable that creeps towards the toe along the outer edge of the foot, along with a little extra cuff cabling and a complementary vining cable on the inner back of the leg. A simple stockinette stitch background and modified star toe shaping allows the cable to reach all the way to the toe and really shine.

I chose Dorset Horn fiber for this pattern because it produced a springy, airy, smooth yarn which feels great on my feet! Dorset Horn sheep are listed as a Threatened Breed by the Livestock Conservancy here in the US. Dorset fiber is a moderate, medium grade wool with a fiber staple length of 2.5-5” (6.3-12.7 cm) and 26-33 micron fiber diameters. Dorset Horn ewes weigh 150– 200 pounds, and rams weigh in at 225–275 pounds. Dorset sheep produce 5-9 pounds of wool per year.
