Can you remember the pattern of the Leaves And Stripes Shawl? It was combining three colors with a brioche pattern and stripes. I was thinking, whether it is possible to use this pattern idea for a hat too? After stash diving, I decided to go for this bright, sweet and sour orange with two speckled colors: here we go! I was more than happy how it worked out and found even more triples, to cast on a second and a third hat ( the pattern is addictive!)
I used wonderful speckled yarns, made by Hedgehogfibres, WalkCollection and Madelinetosh - just feel free to use DK-weight yarn from your stash.
The hat has a brim, is very stretchy, slightly slouchy and well-fitting at the same time. The pattern has eight repeating rows and is based on basic brioche stitches, increases and decreases. It's important to note that there is no 4-stitch-decrease to be knit. You can do it, knitters!
