Product Details
This Tunisian eyelet lace crochet pattern is my favorite way to crochet with fancy tube yarns that can be lumpy in other crochet stitches.
I call the stitch pattern Tunisian Wicker. It's a combination of Tunisian stitches that are familiar to those who have already ventured to stitches beyond Tunisian Simple Stitch, such as the yarn-over, slip stitch, and twisted stitches. For a view of this Tunisian lace pattern in a lace weight mohair yarn, see the award winning Weightless Tunisian Wrap.
Skill Level: Intermediate. This pattern combines Tunisian crochet stitches, and lesser-known regular crochet stitches, in new ways. There is no shaping (the edging automatically does the shaping). I have written it with a minimal amount of abbreviations, and provide, in brackets {}, the International English equivalents to American measurements, yarn weights, and stitch terms.
