Product Details
The Lighten Up scarf is crocheted with an easy repetitive stitch pattern to form columns (also called ribbons). You work several stitches, turn and chain and work the same few stitches until you form a column.
Then, you make a turn and crochet another column that is connected to the previous column and you keep turning and adding new columns. The turns form fan-like motifs on the long ends of the scarf.
This pattern includes written instructions, a schematic, a chart and tutorial photos.
The pattern, as written, uses about 320 yards of fingering or sock weight yarn, but with extra yarn you have the option to go longer and/or wider.
I used the beautiful Malabrigo Mechita in the color “English Rose”. You can use a solid, tonal or color-changing yarn, and expand your crochet skills with this simplified version of the Bruges Lace Crochet technique while making a lovely, lightweight scarf for yourself or a loved one. So, find your favorite color and lighten up!
