Product Details
Lily Dew is a crescent shaped shawl featuring beaded lace at the bottom edge. Instructions for two sizes are included. The lace is a variation of the traditional Lily of the Valley lace.
Finished Size: Small 16” depth, 50” wingspan, large 16” depth, 76” wingspan.
Yarn: Duck Duck Wool 80/20 Merino Silk Fingering (80% Superwash Merino wool/20% Silk), 600 yards/150 grams; or, any other fingering weight yarn. Samples knit with 320 yards Tag (green) and 580 yards Hero (blue).
Needles: 32” circular needle, size US 4 (3.5mm), or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 20 stitches/30 rows per 4 inches in wet-blocked stockinette stitch; gauge is not critical for this item but will affect size, yardage used, and drape.
Beads: Each repeat takes 24 6/0 beads. Small shawl is 16 repeats, large is 25 repeats. Instructions are given to add beads with a tiny crochet hook rather than pre-stringing. I use a size 12/1.00mm hook for beading.
