Product Details
It's all about the linen stitch!
This shawl uses linen stitch to blend three colours into each other, to obtain a gradient-like effect. A simple lace and stripe detail forms the end of the shawl. Starting from just a few stitches, the shawl increases into a long asymmetrical triangle shape that is easy to wear.
Obtaining the gauge listed in the pattern is not essential. The pattern sample was knitted at a tight gauge, but for a shawl with more drape you may prefer a looser gauge. Instructions are included in the pattern for modifying your stitch counts based on your gauge. The width of the different sections may also be increased or decreased according to the amount and type of yarn you have available.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knit. The sample was knit using Circus Tonic Handmade sock yarn (75% wool, 25% nylon, approx 400m/100g) but any fingering weight yarn could be substituted.
