The Little Rudolph Jumper is written to suit children from 6 months to age 10. It's a really fun challenge for advanced beginners to intermediate crocheters.
I used Bendigo Woollen Mills cotton 8ply as my main color for our Australian summer christmas time, but you can use any equivalent weight yarn - 8ply, light/dk weight. To obtain the colors I needed I use BWM luxury (wool) 8ply for rudolph, giving him a warm feel.
There are some basic colorwork techniques used for Rudolph's face, colored bobble stitches and little hearts/seeds around the neck. In general, the unused color is floated intermittently behind your work, and the face color is not carried through the main color so that there is less tangling and no visible lines of contrasting colors through the front.
Single crochets (US) are used throughout the body and the sleeves are made up of half double crochets.
I've included charts of the back and front of Rudolph, and other details for extra help.

The design is very attractive but unfortunately there are some mistakes on the pattern which need correcting. Some of the stitch counts were incorrect. The first mistake is on row 5
