Product Details
Imagine as you walk through the woods, the mesmerising picture of the sunlight coming through the trees. Nature always was an inspiration for me, and these socks are no exception.
The design features a simple stranded colourwork pattern. The socks are knit toe-up, using a hybrid of the German short row heel and Heel Flap and Gusset techniques for an improved fit.
Yarn Socks on the photos were knitted from John Arbon Textiles Exmoor Sock Yarn. But Lang Yarns Jawoll would suit perfectly. Depending on desired foot and leg lengths you will need 1 skein of each colour for sizes 1 – 3; 1 or 2 skeins of each colour for sizes 4 – 5; 2 skeins of each colour for size 6.
Gauge 32 stitches & 38 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in stranded colourwork stitch pattern from Chart 1 with 2.5 mm / US 1.5 needle(s), knitted in the round, after blocking.
32 stitches & 44 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in single-color stockinette stitch pattern with 2.25 mm / US 1 needle(s), knitted in the round, after blocking.
