Product Details
My fascination with knitted lace continues with this modern top-down crescent shaped shawl. Flora and fauna motifs flow from the neck edge down, beginning with tiny little moths and pansies before moving on to lotus flowers. Finally, the edge is decorated with a delicate trefoil – a perfect ending to an interesting knit. This shawl makes good use of a Japanese stitch pattern that I have modified and paired with European techniques such as nupps and gathered stitches. Just a few nupps – and if you don’t like nupps, beads could easily replace them – representing droplets on your lotus pond.
Both charts and written instructions are included.
