Product Details
The dead leaves strow the forest walk, And wither'd are the pale wild-flowers; The frost hangs blackening on the stalk, The dewdrops fall in frozen showers. Gone are the spring's green sprouting bowers, Gone summer's rich and mantling vines, And Autumn, with her yellow hours, On hill and plain no longer shines.
John Brainard
Mabon Morn is knit with the idea of dew- coated leaves and vines, as the autumn approaches. Panels of lace, with “dew” beads, decorate the leaves, which are separated by twisting vines. The sock is knit top-down, without the traditional heel flap. Instead, there is a seamless heel expansion, followed by a heel turn with the gussets on the sole of the foot, providing an arch-hugging fit. A recipe for a quick, yet impressive tasting, chocolate mousse is included - perfect for company, or better yet, a cozy night of knitting.
