Madyson is worked in the round from the brim up, using a simple knit and purl stitch pattern that creates equally great texture on both Right and Wrong sides of the knitting. Crown shaping is incorporated into the stitch pattern allowing it to continue to the top.

YARN 1 skein of Cascade Ecological Wool (100% undyed Peruvian highland Wool; 250g / 478yds / 437m); #8018 light gray. Substitute with approximately 115 (125, 130, 135, 145, 150, 155) yds / 105 (115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140) m of Aran weight yarn with the following knitting gauge.
GAUGE 16 sts and 22 rnds = 4 inches / 10 cm in Body pattern knit in the round using 5mm (US8) needles.
