Product Details

Marysia is my mum’s sister’s name, and as I created a shawl called after my mum - Zosia, it seemed only fair to create a sister shawl and call it after my aunt and godmother :)

The idea behind Marysia shawl was the same as with Zosia - to find a good use for some single sock yarn skeins I had in my stash. The pattern uses two 50 gr skeins, one solid and the other one tonal or variegated.

The shawl is slightly asymmetrical, perfect for wearing with the ends wrapped around and brought back to the front, just a little something around the neck, either in the summer with the AC on or for any occasion during the colder season.

Marysia is easy to knit, after a few rows it becomes mindless knitting, and the only stitch counting required is whilst doing the loops at the outer edge. Blocking is also very easy, just hang to dry, there is no need to pin.

The pattern can be customized by using different yarns, needle sizes, or adding repeats to the pattern.
