Product Details
Worked back and forth with bias shaping, the lozenge-shaped cables emanate out from the center spine, creating movement and drape in the finished piece. Cabled stitches worked right on the edge give the wrap a scalloped look and the bias shaping creates a concave cast on edge and convex bind off.
SIZE 61” along outside edge, 15.5” wide
MATERIALS Imperial Yarn, Erin Worsted [100% wool content; 4 oz/100g; 225 yd/205 m balls]; color: Sweet Plum, 3 skeins
1 set US #8/5mm straight needles OR 1 set US #8/5mm 24” circular needle
Tapestry needle, stitch markers.
GAUGE 21 sts/20 rows = 4” over charted pattern after blocking; gauge is not crucial but may affect yardage
PATTERN NOTES This wrap is worked back and forth from end to end. The center has 2 stitches increased every RS row and each edge has a single decrease every row; this creates a bias in the work. The first and last 8 sts are worked in a cable pattern, creating a scalloped edge.
