Mermaid Dolls

These Mermaid Dolls are knit in the round, using Magic Loop (or double pointed needles). The tail/fin, upper body, arms and head are all knit on as you work along. There are 3 choices of tail styles: straight, curved or sitting. There are 3 choices of fins and removable tops. They may be interchanged with the tail positions. The sitting mermaid style is approx. 11” (sitting), the curved and straight mermaid styles are approx. 16”. The dolls are worked in worsted wt. (Aran/10-ply) yarn, and I used #6-Super Bulky wt. yarn for their hair. They take approx. 240 total yds.: 90 yds. (for doll upper body), 30 yds. (for Color A of tail, fin and top), 70 yds. (for Color B of tail, fin and top), and 50 yds. (for hair). A smaller doll could be achieved by using #3-Light Wt. (DK wt.) yarn with smaller needles. These Mermaid Dolls, with their sweet faces and many choices, are sure to bring fun time to someone special!
