Metallic Twist ShawlThis is a classic triangular shaped shawl, worked in DK weight yarn, and uses Make 1 Right and Make 1 Left at the spine and each end in order to increase and build the shape. The 4 colors worked are shown both in combinations and alone, in a rich canvas full of texture and interest, creating a generous cozy warm Shawl. When I first saw the beautiful yarns I used for this sample, I thought of the classic versatile earthy beauty of metals. A material so strong and bold as metal inspires in me the decorative beauty created by artisans through the ages of twisting thin wires of various precious metals and in turn equally bold strong patterning of twisted stitches comprising of a combination of Right Twists, Left Twists and knitting through the back loops
