Product Details
When its spider season, you need to knit a Mexican Redknee Tarantula tea cosy for the teapot!
The main body of the tarantula is the actual tea cosy. Then the abdomen and the legs are knitted and attached to the main cosy.
When you think of a tarantula, I think that we probably image the black and orange one, which is the Mexican Redkee tarantula. So I chose to base the tea cosy on that species, and the colours are appropriate for Halloween and autumn. I thought the lovely orangey knees would look more effective than a plain black house spider.
His legs are knitted and stuffed and then drawn up at intervals to add shaping and structural support, so that the legs stand in an arched shape.
TeaCosyFolk's Tarantula tea cosy fits a medium sized tea pot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
The Tarantula tea cosy knitting pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting him very soon!
