Product Details
Milkweed Tee is a perfect summer top with plenty of ease, reversed Stockinette body, and nice lace detail. The pattern was inspired by the Japanese lace that reminded me of the Milkweed flower clusters.
This top is knitted bottom up, starting with the sleeves. The 3 needle bind off is used to attach the sleeves to the body at the underarms. Then, the rest of the body joined and continued in the round, shaping the raglan yoke. Short rows are used to shape the neck.
Pattern is designed to be worn with 6-8” of positive ease.
I have used 2 strands of cotton thread to knit this top, but a fingering weight cotton, linen, or other blends of yarn can be also used for this project.
If you are using single held yarn, make sure that you adjust the yardage requirements accordingly.
Required Techniques: Simple lace in the round Three needle bind off German short rows
