Product Details

Mill Mountain Mitts were knit largely inside the local coffee shop, Mill Mountain Coffee, named for Mill Mountain in Roanoke, Virginia.

You'll work the mitts from the fore-arm cuffs up in rib, and then transition into a delightful pattern of cable stitches for the body of the mitt. I love how the ribbing flows right into the cable stitch pattern seamlessly. Includes a thumb gusset and instructions for finishing the thumb. End with a few rounds of rib for the finger cuffs.

I used Cascade Yarns 220 Heather, colorway #8401 Silver Gray. You can substitute with any worsted weight yarn.

I used Size 6 (4 mm) and 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles.

You'll need a cable needle, yarn needle, a small stitch holder to hold the thumb gusset stitches and stitch markers.

Includes written instructions, pattern stitch chart and detailed instructions for making the thumb gusset and finishing it.

This pattern has been tech-edited and test knit. I'm also happy to provide pattern support.
