Product Details
Minnamurra is a crescent-shape lace shawl - created from one skein (100 grams) of sock/fingering/4 ply yarn.
Shawl Construction The shawl is knitted from the top down, starting with a garter tab cast on. Rapid increases at the edges create a wide, shallow, curved shawl shape. A pretty picot edging completes the shawl.
Finished Measurements 78 inches/198 cm wingspan; 17 inches/43 cm depth.
Yarn 400 yards (100 grams) of 4 ply / fingering / sock yarn. Pattern sample was knitted in Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (Well Water colourway).
Needles & Notions 4.5mm (US 7) circular needles, from 30 to 48 inches (75cm to 120cm) long. Stitch markers
Gauge 14 stitches x 24 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) on 4mm needles in Section B lace pattern after a very heavy blocking. Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.
