Product Details
Perfect for gift knitting, this classic baby blanket is knitted in one piece (except for the side borders).
It is a handy size to use in the pram, crib or car. The garter stitch border pattern is textured with a feature knit stitch and the mitred corners provide a neat finish. The centre section pattern is a simple broken rib.
The featured samples use 8 ply/DK weight cotton.
Colour 1 (C1): approx 430-480 metres/469-523 yards
Colour 2 (C2): approx 300-330 metres/327-360 yards
My samples are made in:
Fibra Natura Cottonwood 100% organic cotton 50g (105 metres/115 yards)
Patons Cotton Blend 8 ply 50% cotton, 50% acrylic 50g (95 metres/104 yards)
It would be suitable to knit in another cotton yarn or a good quality wool or wool blend yarn. Check ball lengths and compare to the original yarn. I have recommended Patons (UK) Cotton DK as a suitable substitute in the materials.
