Like Fidra, Mirren is a quick and fun knit combining more garter stitch texture (which looks so good in this yarn) with an easy garter based cable (from Norah Gaughan’s Knitted Cable Sourcebook) and only using one skein of Quarry!
Yarn
- 130 yards chunky weight yarn (30 or so extra yards needed if adding a pom pom)
Shown in Brooklyn Tweed Quarry (100% American Wool; 200 yards/100g) in “Moonstone”

Construction
This hat begins at the brim with ribbing and is knit bottom up with a cable pattern and crown shaping. Both written and charted instructions are provided.
