For those times when you regret not buying another skein... an engaging but quick-to-knit lace kerchief, using a surprisingly small quantity of yarn. Ideal for leftovers or those small skeins at the bottom of your stash. Suitable for knitters with some lace knitting experience.
I love a good lace edging pattern. They are interesting and fun to knit, with a pattern of increasing and binding off to create fancy edges. The ever-changing stitch count keeps you on your toes, but isn’t so difficult that you go crazy.
This pattern is created from the “Grand Eyelet Edging” in Barbara Walker’s Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns, and it’s rather unexpected, looking almost like crochet. I’ve tweaked the plain section of the pattern to create a sideways-knit triangle.
