Product Details
The blanket was inspired by Piet Mondriaan’s later artwork. I’m talking about his geometric artwork where he used not only the three primary colors of blue, red and yellow and the three primary values of black, white & grey but also the two primary directions (horizontal and vertical).
The blanket is knit using the Modular Knitting technique, meaning you will cast on once for the 1st section, from there on you will be picking up stitches to create the next section and sometimes attaching these sections to previously knit sections.
As this blanket is 100% customizable, this is more of a recipe-based pattern. Yarn, Needles and Gauge given are suggestions only. You pick and choose the yarn and needles that give you a fabric you like and then pick the size you want to make.
Sizing suggestions are given, but feel free to customize this to suit your needs.
