Product Details

Worn with approx 5cm (2in) negative ease compared to your head circumference at brim.

To check hat height will be correct, measure from the top of neck, over your head to 2.5cm (1in) below the hairline at forehead. Your hat depth should be approx half this measurement.

Due to the large pattern repeat, size changes are made by altering tension and yarn weight. All exact tensions, recommended yarn weight and needle size are given in the pattern.

To get tension easily choose;

  • A DK weight for sizes Toddler and Child
  • A worsted weight or light aran for sizes S and M
  • An aran or light chunky weight for sizes L and XL

You'll need approx 50g yarn in two colours, less in the contrast colour if you're not making a pom pom.

Lilac sample (Child): Debbie Bliss Aymara in Moonstone and Amethyst

Blue sample (M): Debbie Bliss Falkland Aran in Duck Egg and Ecru

Red sample (L): Debbie Bliss Lhasa in Cherry and Ecru

Pink sample (XL) Debbie Bliss Iris in Flamingo and Kite
