Product Details

Monty Bear loves gardening, but he always has to stop and hitch up his trousers. So, Papa bear made him some braces. Now he can bend over without blushing! Monty is the first in a series of Pookie Pals and is the perfect first amigurumi project for new crocheters. He was originally designed for Issue 9 of Crochet Now magazine.

YARN: Any DK yarn is suitable to make your bear. I like to use wool for the body and then yarns with different textures for the clothes. The bear pictured here is made using Knit Picks organic 4 ply cotton in Marshmallow for the body and Yarn and Colours Must Have Cotton in Pacific Blue for his stripes and shorts. You will need approx. 75m of yarn to make a basic Pookie Pal, plus oddments in contrasting shades for clothes and accessories. Body, ears, arms, snout: cream Sweater: Blue Shorts: Blue Yarn amounts and tension are not given as these will vary depending on your tension. A basic Pookie Pal uses approx 75m of yarn.
