Increasing shawl shapes
These flared shawls are knitted sideways, mostly in garter stitch, with increases worked along one edge to create the triangular shape.

Refer to materials below for different options. Pattern is adjustable - you can use any yarn you want to achieve different effects and make it as deep/long as you like, working until you run out of yardage.

Yarn: Worsted weight (MC): 200m (219yds) needed • Shown in: Rowan Pure Wool Worsted [100% wool, 200m (219yds) per 100g] in 150 Damson • Note: Sample used almost a full ball of MC. To be safe, make sure you have extra yardage available. Laceweight (CC): 336m (365yds) needed • Shown in: Rowan Kidsilk Haze [70% mohair, 30% silk, 210m (229yds) per 25g] in 579 Splendour
