What you'll need
Product Details
Inspired by the botanical prints of Arts & Crafts master William Morris, this shawl and hat are perfect for showing off the color fade of a long-repeat color fade yarn such as Wonderland Yarns Mad Hatter Sport. Using just a single five-cake pack, you get plenty of WOW for your money!
Worked seamlessly, the shawl can be made as shown, or for those who prefer the edging to have the same colors as the body of the shawl, an option is added to begin with the garter and work narrow bands of k1, p1 rib along the sides of the piece.
The hat is worked from the top down, beginning with a circular cast on. Finished measurements for the hat are 17 3/4" / 45 cm circumference and 7 1/4" / 18.5 cm long with the brim folded up.
The yarn used in the sample comes in a five-cake pack of 1720 yds / 1573 m, and one pack will make both the shawl and hat
