Mountain Creek socks are worked from the cuff down, they’re both the same.
Yarn: any sock yarn with a yarn length of 350 – 420 m 380 – 460 yds / 100 g. Needles: size 2 – 2.5 mm US 0 – 1½ circular needles, at least 80 cm / 32” long (or suitable size to obtain the gauge). These socks are knit using the “magic loop” method, however, you can use double pointed needles if you prefer. Just be aware that the instructions refer to Needle 1 and Needle 2 (meaning half of the total stitch count).
