Product Details

*Murnong takes its name from the native Australian yam daisy. This once prolific and important plant food for the indigenous peoples has been decimated by the introduction of livestock. Fortunately, smart farmers like those at Millpost Merino now realise the value of native flora and the murnong has made a comeback from near extinction. *

*The sweet imagery of the murnong is captured in the upper half of this beanie in a stitch reminiscent of the dandelion-like flower head. These delicate flowers sit counterposed to the pin stripes that lead into a chunky 1x1 ribbed brim. *

Construction:

Murnong is knit seamless in the round from the brim upwards beginning neatly with an alternative tubular cast on. Decreases are used to shape the crown.
