Toe-Up / Textured Stitch Pattern / Short-Row Heel The inspiration behind the name of this sock is my mother. Her nickname is “Shortie” and I knit this pair of socks for her as a Mother’s Day gift and thought this would be the perfect sock to name for her. I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern as much as I did. It is a textured ankle sock that has an easy to remember 4 row repeat.
I knit fairly tightly so I use a US #2 needles for all of my socks. The pattern is written for US # 1 and US #2 so that you can knit it for your gauge.
It only takes about 50 grams to knit a pair of theses socks and so you can get two pair out of one 100 gram skein.
This pattern is so simple that it is easier to work from the written pattern.
