Newsboy Hat/Beret will look great in the spring or fall! This pattern contains detailed written instructions along with pictures to guide you through each move.
I advise using two sized of a hook - a 3.75mm for the brim and bill (to make a tighter knit) and a 4 - 4.5mm hook for the main body of the hat. If you comfortable controlling the size of your stitches, then you can use one size. I use a smaller size of the hook than the yarn manufacturers suggest, I just find that the results are better (unless a loose knit is desired).
Yarn - tweed or marled colors look best for this beret (dark brown in my picture); however, solid colors are also cute). Main color:
o Lion Brand Heartland, Worsted (Black Canyon Tweed 353 or Sequoia 126), or
o (#4) Medium Weight, Acrylic, Red Heart Super Saver Ombré. One skein is 5 oz, 232 yards (212m). You will need about a skain and a half
Second color of your choice (need about 50m)
Yarn Gauge: 14-18 to 4 inches (10 cm)
